New Website

This website recently went live and I am still filling in some content. I have a lot planned, so please bear with me while I work through the initial growing pains. Thanks for visiting!

What’s in the Box?

I have planned a series of posts and screencasts based on both incident response and dead-box forensics. There are many triage techniques to discuss that I think many examiners will find useful. The first post should be up soon.

Help Me!

I plan on generating some content that I find interesting, but I’d like to know what others might find useful. If you have any comments or suggestions on how I can make this website better or have specific requests on information you’d like to see, please let me know in blog comments or on the contact page. Thanks!

Digital Forensics

Digital Forensics

I tend to let my inner geek out when it comes to computer forensics. Since that is what interests me and how I make a living, the majority of blog posts will have some sort of digital forensic spin on them.

Information Security

It is hard to work in digital forensics and not have an interest in information security. I still have much to learn in this area, but I hope I can share something useful here.

Privacy

Privacy has always been a hot topic for me. It's something that I don't think people care enough about. Plus, I have seen firsthand what happens when people don't protect it.

Welcome!

Hi, this is my personal website. I am a digital forensics examiner with heavy interest in information security, electronic investigation, and privacy issues. I currently work in Omaha, Nebraska and help out law firms, corporations, and assist law enforcement from time to time.

I created this website to share information with the community and to act as a central repository for several distributed projects I am a part of. I hope that you find something useful.

Please don't hesitate to send me your questions or comments. If you are in Nebraska and close to Omaha or Lincoln, feel free to contact me about local group activity for forensics and infosec.

Thanks for visiting.
